This villa is a great choice for those seeking a base from which an unspoilt part of the island can be explored. Set against a backdrop of hills, this three bedroom private bungalow set on a large plot offers views of the Mediterranean sea to the front. The villa also overlooks the village sports/football ground although, regrettably, not many energetic activities take place during the high season months.

The accommodation consists of an open plan kitchen/living room/dining room and separate utility room. The living area which features a working fireplace is furnished with comfortable sofas, a television with satellite system which features approximately 21 British TV channels including news, sports, soaps, documentaries and movies. There is also a DVD player. The kitchen is equipped with an oven & hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The double bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and the two remaining twin bedrooms share the full family bathroom which completes the accommodation.

Both ceiling fans and fly screens are fitted throughout and each bedroom is equipped with air-conditioning units* for both cooling and heating. During the winter season (Dec - Feb) an additional portable gas heater can be provided. A baby cot and highchair can be provided on request.

The property also features Wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi) ideal for those with a laptop or smartphone for checking emails and surfing the net and a pool table.

Leading from the shaded patio area off the living area is the 8 x 4 meter private swimming pool with walk-in steps. The pool is surrounded by a terrace area equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and a poolside shower. A portable barbecue is provided to help you make the most of outdoor dining during the hot summer months. The extensive orchard behind the villa contains a selection of fruit trees including date palms, apples, bananas, walnuts, figs, pomegranates, papaya and sultana vines, all planted and lovingly cared for by the owners who are very keen gardeners.

This is a great holiday villa for peace and quiet, secluded beaches, natural beauty, sightseeing and for the whole family. Highly recommended.

Location - Paphos, Ayia Marina

Away from the more mainstream tourist destinations, Ayia Marina is a small, quiet village with a long stretch of unspoilt coastline, situated between the village of Argaka and the tiny seaside resort of Pomos with its small fishing harbour. The village has a small grocery store, a coffee shop, a bakery and a small souvlaki house (summer opening only) all within 2 kilometres of the villa.

The nearest restaurant is in the neighbouring village of Argaka approximately 6 kilometres away, with a handful of additional tavernas dotted along the coastal road that leads back towards Polis. The undeveloped beaches of this area stretch along a natural coastline of coarse sand, shingle and pebble. For a day here you will need to bring your own beach mat and umbrella. Refreshments can be found at one of the tavernas scattered along the coastal road or you can take a cool box and lunch under the shade of the trees in one of the designated picnic areas in Argaka.

Polis is the principal town for the northwest region, huddled around a pedestrianised square where visitors and locals gather in the mornings to enjoy a coffee and watch the world pass by and in the evenings to dine at one of the wide selection of restaurants, tavernas and cafes which radiate out from the centre. The town has an archaeological museum and cultural centre. Polis which is approximately 14 kilometres away offers the nearest organized beach to the villas backed by tall Eucalyptus trees.

A little further along the coast from Polis is the seaside resort of Latchi with its recently opened 200 berth marina. Here you will find an array of inviting sea-front tavernas with a superb selection of fresh fish and seafood served daily. Just beyond Latchi you will find the well known 'Baths of Aphrodite' and for nature lovers the protected Akamas Peninsular an area particular suited to walkers and adventurers who can explore the many criss-crossed nature trails. The coastline of this area can also be enjoyed by boat with daily excursions available from the marina.

Moving away from the coastal areas to venture a little further inland, you can explore some of the villages off the beaten track where you'll discover such delights as village cultural centres and museums, galleries, Churches and wineries with free wine tasting!

Polis and the surrounding villages count bowling, go-karting, fishing, cycling, watersports and scuba diving amongst the many activities on offer to the visitor. The Minthis Hills Golf Course is approximately a 50 minute drive away. The town of Paphos with its World Heritage Sites, modern shopping facilities, waterpark and attractive harbour area is within an hours drive.

The villa was very spacious, well decorated, comfortable and clean. Our terrace was absolutely perfect.....clear views of the Mediterranean Sea as far as the eye could see. We had breakfast & dinner on the terrace every day, and spent the evenings watching the moon and the stars while sharing a bottle of wine. All the people in the village were friendly and welcoming. On our first morning, the owners came by to check on us and see if we needed anything. When we have kids, I hope to bring them back here for a vacation. Thanks again, it was a truly memorable experience.

My wife and I together with our children ages 17 and 14 spent a memorable 2 weeks at this beautiful villa. We found the villa to be bright, spacious and comfortable. The rear terrace provides shade and a beautiful view over the swimming pool and sea beyond, being a great place to relax and have breakfast and dinner. The villa is very private and peaceful, so much so that you can even hear the birds singing. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk and there is a bakery in the village where we brought fresh bead and traditional Cypriot cakes. We also hired a car as there is so much to see and do in the area. We highly recommend the drive along the coast to Pomos. The drive has breathtaking views where forest clad mountains drop into the sea and in the village of Pomos you can find beach front fish restaurants where they serve fresh fish (so fresh that it was just caught that morning). In the other direction the town of Polis is well worth a visit in the evening where they have a traditional bustling village square with open air taverns, ice-cream parlours and souvenir shops. The area is very beautiful and the people are very hospitable. This part of the island is a particular gem and we will certainly be returning again.

From the moment we arrived and saw the Palm Trees and the huge orchard we knew we had made the right choice. The villa was spacious, private, bright and airy and well cared for by the owners. The swimming pool was amazing and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace looking over the pool, the gardens and with the sea beyond. In the daytime there were superb views of the whole of the Polis coastline going as far as the eye can see to the Akamas national park. At night there were beautiful sunsets and stars so bright as we have never seen before. The children were happy playing in the pool all day and the table tennis table and pool table proved to be great entertainment. we also loved the fact that the villa has a good range of English TV channels and Wi-Fi internet access. A truly superb holiday and great value for money. We hope to return again one day.

We have no hesitation in saying that next time we intend going to Paphos, we will definitely use your company again: booking on the Internet was a doddle: you can see the accommodation - and importantly, what you see is what you get: making payment is straightforward and the service from the team on the island was great - our flight didn't leave until the evening and because no-one was coming in after us, they took the trouble to come to the villa to let us know we could stay on until our flight left. Our holiday was just perfect! The villa was clean and comfortable. The owners Andreas and Maria were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome in their home. This was our first villa holiday and we were not disappointed. The villa was spacious, well equipped and had a great swimming pool with views of the sea. The gardens were huge with many fruit trees where we picked our own fruit and there is a lovely covered barbecue area where we learnt (with Andreas' help) to cook traditional Cypriot barbecue. One of the best holidays our family has ever had! Firstly I would like to point out that the staff at The Villa Group were excellent, from helping us choose the perfect villa for our holiday, excellent advice and recommendations on things to do in the area. We also found the whole booking process to be very simple and efficient.The villa was just as described if not better than the photographs. It was ever so peaceful, in a lovely location with a superb private swimming pool and with sea views. The children were happy playing all day in the pool while my wife and I relaxed in the shade. The beach was just a 10 minute walk and most days it was completely empty so we had the whole beach to ourselves.Nearby there were some local shops and tavernas and we found everyone very friendly and helpful.We will definitely be booking with your company again.
