Tucked away in the narrow winding streets of Kathikas, a holiday at this villa is like taking a step back in time. Retaining the original exposed wooden beams and stone walls, but upgraded to modern standards and fitted with modern appliances, the owner has lovingly restored his Grandparents village house, allowing you a tiny glimpse of traditional Cypriot village life with the advantage of modern day living.

The spacious open plan ground floor consists of a living area furnished with comfortable sofas, coffee table, TV and DVD player. The fully equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The solid wood dining table comfortably seats 8.

Three of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor. The two double bedrooms are found to one side of the villa. The master double bedroom boasts an en suite bathroom with jacuzzi jets in the bath. The other double bedroom features a traditional Cypriot style 4 poster bed. At the opposite side of the villa, two twin bedrooms and a separate shower room are found. The twin bedroom on the ground floor has patio doors opening directly onto the pool terrace. The twin bedroom on the first floor has its own en suite shower room. An external wooden and stone staircase also gives this first floor twin bedroom direct access to the pool area.

Each bedroom has air conditioning units installed, although as the villa is on higher ground, it benefits from cooler and less humid air in the summer. A baby cot and highchair can also be supplied.

The private 8 metre x 4 metre swimming pool with both walk in steps and ladder access is surrounded by an extensive sunbathing terrace equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. A portable BBQ has been provided for summer dining al fresco and a bamboo roofed pergola provides welcome respite from the midday sun.

Today Kathikas is one of the most attractive villages in the area, well known for its great many vineyards, and even having its own village winery which offers free wine tasting! A selection of local tavernas and a mini market are within a few minutes walk of the villa. The popular resort of Coral Bay with its well-known sandy beach is approximately 15 kilometres away, and the traditional town of Polis and the small seaside resort of Latchi are only 18 kilometres away.
