Cyprus offers €100,000 in aid to Haiti

PRESIDENT Demetris Christofias has sent a letter to the President of Haiti, expressing the sympathy, solidarity and sorrow of the Cypriot people for the thousands of people killed during the devastating earthquake in Haiti on Tuesday.

Government Spokesman Stefanos Stefanou said that the tragedy had shocked the world community. He added that in this framework, Cyprus has decided to contribute to efforts of all countries to help Haiti with the amount of €100,000
